250 Kliko fest
Upcoming July 19th Kliko Fest will be back in Patronaat. Get ready with this playlist for a night full of dirty rock ‘n roll, garage and punk bands. Sleep is for the weak!
Wasn't it beautiful, weren't we cool... Oh those days! We used to mix tapes for ourselves, our friends and... for the cutest girls whom we would impress with personalized tapes, full of music they didn't know yet. For hours we would lock ourselves in our rooms, alone with records, 12"-s, singles, a turntable and a tape-deck. A perfect mix of two times 45 minutes, and you will be remembered for ever!
Who does not remember the time 'auto reverse' was introduced? Wow, that was innovation! And innovation lasted: now we have online libraries packed full with a huge range of artists and genres.
Strangelove (a creative advertising agency based in Amsterdam) had the idea to ask music professionals to make a Mixed-Tape; a very simple idea with a really nice result. Via Spotify or Deezer, we ask music artists, record labels, DJ's and all types of creative like-minded people to put together a unique and personal playlist. Sometimes it can be related to a specific theme / event / launch, or maybe the complete opposite of what one might expect from a certain 'character'.

The clouds are clearing up, the sunlight is making it’s way through and the temperature is rising - time for some fresh songs!
This is music that we like, obviously. Make sure to play this music LOUD. Thank you.
As a true music lover I listen to a varying range of music to unwind. Being active in the nightlife I love electronic music. For this mixed tape I choose a variety of post-modern classical music to chill wave and indie, from lo-fi to minimalistic of course with an electronic touch. So relax and unwind, forgetting the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This collection of songs features some of the best songs we’ve released over the past few years. Songs you might recognise from the radio with a few lesser known gems in between.
This mixtape is going to be our driving soundtrack for the festival season. We're hoping to play a lot of festivals this summer and there isn't a better way to get in the mood than good music! Listening to this mixtape we picture ourselves in the festival area surrounded by good tunes and dancing our asses off. We think it's important to support good music from your own country, so a couple of the bands on the mixtape are Dutch.
From the Cosmic to the Carnival. These songs tell our story from the very beginning up until where we are right now. Deep grooves and addictive drums, with a bit of reggae here and there. Blistering solos, and some psychedelic flavours. And there's this thing we have with harmony singing. No ‘80s or ’90s songs on this one, mate... The good stuff's timeless. Enjoy this fine selection wherever you are, whenever you want. Peace!
To get a little insight into our world of music and what inspires us, we’ve put together a playlist with some of our all-time favourite songs. We hope you like it!
During the release of her debut album, Stefany June will be playing a number of Bucket List gigs, kick-ass concerts in unusual locations. Expressing the adventurous feeling of her music, she’s put together a Mixed-Tape to take you along on her ride.
A collection of songs that just might be engraved into our collective memory by the end of this year.
This is an old-school collection of house music which I still listen to today to enjoy. Sometimes I even still play some of these songs because most of them, smash every club.
This list only represents tracks & remixes from the legendary Chez Damier & UK Jordan Peak. Mostly classics and pure dancefloor weapons. Friday 22nd of November they will be playing at The House in AIR Amsterdam. Enjoy!
Natives normally focusses on house en techno music. For this tape we have decided to show another part of our taste, mainly showing our disco, soul, funky and groovy side. The list of possible songs is endless, but we hope you enjoy our selection. If so, we are happy to provide you with another list in due time.
A very special hairy tracklist. With songs like beards: all forms, shapes and sizes. #langlevedebaard
HiFi is the joint residency of Patrice Bäumel and I at TrouwAmsterdam. It's a night that flirts with Indie, Electronica, Disco & Techno. I tried to reflect this in a 2 hour mix-tape! Enjoy!
Summer has gone, the festival season has finished, but luckily there is Amsterdam Dance Event to get us through the dark days of fall! We absolutely love this indoor, all-over-the-place, five-days-of-mayhem event and enjoyed every minute of it. This mixed-tape is a tribute to last week, a week that we're still recovering from but will be in our memories for a long time. Enjoy these songs, which will take you back from the anticipation before until the hangover and the memories.
For the next one and a half hour we will take you on a trip into the house. Expect tracks ranging from groovy house to old school garage. Inspired by many different styles we made a selection of some of our all time favourites. Enjoy!
let's forget about the time.. let's relax and ease our minds.. we deserve to just feel fine.. oh yeah
The playlist I’ve put together mainly consists of a mixture of deephouse funk. I always look for those songs that seem timeless to me. Songs that you can play anywhere, anytime and that still have the same power you heard the first time you played it. I’m quite a “digger” for records, so you can say that there are a lot of hidden gems in this one, played by artists that I admire very much.
We love listening to loud and/or danceable music whilst on tour or working at home. But it’s also great to have a few songs you can really listen to when you’re completely alone or relaxed. A good mix of everything that has the right heart.
This is a very diverse selection of songs that are both lyrically and musically very appealing and inspiring to me. These songs captivate me thematically by the loneliness, intensity or eloquence with which it infallibly and relentlessly is dragged into your ears. At the same time, they are intriguing by the structure and the musical decoration. Each one awakes in me a euphoric feeling of a desolate and lonely existence, by realizing that this is the way life is, these songs offer me a sense of refuge and relief.
On my journey filming countless bands in and around Amsterdam I’ve come across some pretty f-ing awesome local bands and talents! Here are some of them!
Growing up in the great '80s creating mix tapes, for yourself or other people, was something special. Anyway I hope you like my selection. I’ve created it especially for you.
Pittug loves to let you enjoy some good music. The Amsterdam based brand is known for its fine taste. Therefore we put together a mixed-tape with some great artists and songs from past to present.
When installing shows at Unruly Gallery, we usually have a few cold Warsteiners, have a laugh and discuss art – including music. For this Mixed-Tape list I selected a few songs we discussed and played over the last year; a somewhat eclectic mix, including chansons, rock classics, pop and even contemporary hip hop.
For 3 years now, I’ve been finding my way to Nachtdigital festival in Olganitz, Germany. “A playground for grown-ups” is what a lot of visitors call it. And they are right… A playground with quality (and often a bit strange) house music.
I love music, and I love to make my own interpretations and stories with existing tracks. I like to pick some pieces of the track and play with the elements I love the most. All the tracks in this mixed tape you can find in my live sets in a different way. Enjoy!
Obviously inspired by the beautiful weather, I would like to share some music with you that I bought on vinyl a while a go and spin a lot lately. Groovy music all the way from Africa and South America. So amazing to see how the music varies over there and what a groove it has!
27th of July, Fat Kids Cake had her 15 minutes of fame. The creative collective was invited by Famous For Now to join forces in the cosy disco basement of Chapter 21. Listen to Fat Kids Cakes’ favourites with this Mixed-Tape, and we hope to see you at our next event in the Chicago Social Club on the 29th of August!
Studio 80 has put this special tape together in preparation for the debut of their own personal Studio 80 stage at Mysteryland.
One should never try to understand a woman's brain, and this is why we won't over explain this tape. The only idea behind it is us loving all random things in life, things that simply cannot be categorized in just one theme or one genre. This tape is our vision of a day in a woman's life.
The first track on our EP is called B.E.A.T. After a long writing process the song really came together when we simply decided spell out the first word of the verse. From that moment on our little obsession with finding the best spelled out songs began. And so we didn’t really have to think long about a theme when you guys asked us to make a M.I.X.T.A.P.E. Enjoy!
Today’s true gent is a busy man: a demanding job, a vivid social life, a relationship or family, hobbies and a rigorous work-out regime. Therefore he wants to be able to get some proper relaxation. Sometimes he just wants to kick back, unbutton his suit, kick off his oxfords and recline with a beautiful glass of whiskey in one hand and a quality cigar in the other. At these moments, Manners.nl welcomes you to the Manners Lounge, a musical journey taking you through several styles and genres. We start with some loungy jazzy stuff and then take a trip through some soulful tunes. Let some surprising electro and worldly stuff seep into your soul before you move those feet to some genuine beats. After that it’s time to relax. Stretch, close your eyes and just mellow out. Kill the shuffle switch for this one.
This tape consists of some house, techno and tech-house records from our Buitenspelen Festival artists. Listen and get convinced.
This mixtape is a small selection of the broad, eclectic line up Welcome to the Future Festival will be offering on July 27th at her festival taking place at 't Twiske, just above Amsterdam. From tech-house to techno and from house to deephouse, there's something here for every purveyor of quality dance music. We've selected new tracks from upcoming artists, some classics from all the legends that will be playing the festival and a few tracks that you might not know yet but really have to hear... enjoy!
Big thoughts come in small songs and just because Kuijken is holding back, the music is full of tension. 'Nowhere or Tammensaari' is their latest album and the next step in a career that slowly but steadily unfolds. I am Oak makes albums to listen to, not just a collection of singles with some fillers, it's a listening experience. In shows it's the same thing. At that time there is also a big chance that the music takes you away, wherever your dreams want to take you. This is Thijs' selection of music to take you on a journey.
A selection of tracks which represent the sound of The House. Including tracks from Phil Weeks, William Kouam Djoko & De Sluwe Vos.
Buiten Westen, the festival for 'free spirits and sounds', is back in Westerpark on July 20th. A programme packed with musicians, artists, traditional caterers and other young creatives, make sure that creative talent and culture lovers can find each other once again this year in the lovely park in Amsterdam West.
This mixtape will make your WKND start right here, right now! Studio 80's WKND residents Juri Miralles, Elias Mazian, Tim Hoeben, Bram Fidder, Tim van Citters, Joppe Muller and Tijn Benedek picked their favourite tracks of the moment, enjoy!
We always love to hear some music with our photography and vice versa. Photography and its intention to capture important moments and people in our lives are quite similar to composing songs. In a song the emotion of the one making the music is traveling to the listener. Traced, diffused or with empathy.
This mix contains only tracks & edits that were produced by the artists that will perform at the Festival this summer! With 5 stages spread out over 2 days, this year’s line-up is very diverse with styles varying from Brazil, Soul, Disco, House, Bass & Techno. This mixtape is a selection of music that you might hear, while dancing barefoot at our beach festival!
This Mixed-Tape represents a day at Thuishaven. We combine enjoying the sun, hanging out with your friends, listening to world-class artists and dancing your feet off, all in one party. We hope to let you experience the full MikeyNice DJ-set and MikeyNice Disco Bingo vibe and hopefully you'll pay him a visit this summer at Amsterdam Open Air, Solar Weekend or one of the other great parties and festivals that they will attend.
Here we have a fresh playlist from the Dance.nl crew. The playlist consists of a wide range of electronic music we like to listen to while we work. Hopefully it invites you to read some of the articles we’ve put online as every one of them has been written with the same kind of passion we used to put together this mix(t)ape - enjoy the music where our heart is!
It's true, Amsterdam is an amazing place for seeing bands all year round - but for a little longer than a week in May, it gets even better. So mark your calendars for 18 to 26 May 2013, because that's when Amsterdam turns into Indiestad ('Indie City') with a huge array of the best up-and-coming bands hitting stages across the city.
The sun may not be shining full-force just yet, but Amsterdam Open Air is! They just released their line-up and this tape is just a selection of all the great artists playing at Amsterdam Open Air...
Spring is afoot, and the fresh excitement it brings is buzzing around at Salon HQ. Singer-songwriters, beachpop and breezy beats, we got all the ingredients here to cook up sumfin' happy-good for your hungry ears.
A brief selection of melodious tracks from Pleinvrees’ key artists, all lined up for Pleinvrees Heroes on the 5th of May, Amsterdam.
Amsterdam Live On Stage believes in the energy of live electro-instrumental music. We want every act to be experimental and unique.
A small selection of a few tracks represented by MassiveTalent. All the music is created by upcoming, talented and unsigned artists from all across the globe.
A well flavoured stew of a small selection of my favourite ingredients. Some hard to chew, some easy to swallow. Bon appetit.
Always tough to make a choice in all the music. These are some candies I took from my candyshop: melodic house, more crazy electronica and ass-shaking techno. I love them all!
I could have given you a playlist that was referencing exactly to things that equal to my album as Woodkid. But the truth is, that's not the music I listen to. The music I listen to everyday is much more mainstream than that.
Here are some tracks that inspire me in what I do, did and will do. Please enjoy the grooves of Nicolas Jaar, the beauty of techno in Dockyard by Paul Kalkbrenner, and lose yourself in The Passing of Time by my absolute favourite: The Orb.
Twenty songs that got us where we are today; personal anthems, if you will.
These are tracks that I use to get in all kinds of different moods when I paint in my studio. Each one has a special meaning to me.
A - sort-of - chronological view on contemporary electronic music, influenced by music throughout the years. An office-friendly impression of the event Music in the House which covers five sets influenced by five periods in time. Music in the House will be held in a brand new location, 10 minutes from Amsterdam Central station by bike. VIDEO
Well... this is the kind of music we enjoy. It's pure, raw, honest and real! Just the way we like it.
This tape consists of deep indie-electronica music featuring all artists performing at Next Monday's Hangover - NOAH'S ARK on April 6th in Amsterdam. Curated by Next Monday's Hangover host and resident Some Chemistry.
This tape is called "The Guilty Pleasure" list because I love this music to work out to or to clean my house with.
John Coffey shows are known for their madness and the partying going on during the show. When we leave the stage, all pumped up and excited, the energy keeps on going. By the time we enter the bus for a long drive (usually with a couple of beers we begged for at the venue), one lucky bastard gets to be the DJ. The recipe is always the same: HITS. iPods are handed to the DJ from all sides as we loudly sing along to the jingles we all love so much. To share that feeling with you, we collected a handful of those hits. Close your eyes, enter the tourbus, and enjoy THE JOHN COFFEY TOURBUS EXPERIENCE.
These songs are so f*cking badass, it will make you wanna grow a beard (even the ladies), get some tattoos and offer Chuck Norris a can of whoopass. Period!
This mix tape contains music from artists that I admire. All of this music has inspired me in the last years while I was composing and recording my own music. I like music that creates a world without specifically pointing a direction or telling you a concrete story. It makes me forget time and just enjoying the things that I am doing whatever that may be on that specific moment. Other songs I like for just being so pure and telling a story in such a delicate and sensitive way that I can do nothing else than listen and agree or cry along with the music. Some of the songs are from artists who are personal friends of mine and which I respect and admire for who they are and the music they are making.
We put together this special tape to give you a little insight as to what we listen to and what inspires us on a day-to-day basis.
I'm dragging some tracks into a Spotify folder at the moment... No idea if I can figure out how to get that to you... and a text... maybe in a little while once I'm really high... toedeloe, NSM

So that's 2012 all done and dusted, what a blast. To try and put a marker in time we've created a mixed tape containing a selection of our favorite tunes of 2012. 2012 has been a good year for Basserk and our artists, our releases have caused quite a stir this year. We still managed to find time to participate in many brain cell killing activities, and during that process these tunes managed to stick to us.

A little list to celebrate the release of our debut-album & to kick off the 2nd edition of PIAS NITES! ∆
Most of these artists I've been listening to for a while. These are some of my favorites that I've been playing a lot recently.
Rudeboy: If music is beauty, then I see the aesthetics in being an agent of chaos. If it was a language then I speak it in many different ways and if it was limited to one rule then I chose to be the ringleader of the rebelrouser's ball . Awkwardness, loudness and hardcore, emotional, acoustics are the same...it means poignancy.

A journey into the influences of School is Cool. Designed to keep you on the edge of your seat, to be jarring, surprising and wide in it's span, in short: to keep you listening. 500 years of music encompassing pretty much everything. From strangely morbid native folk to the greatest melody in baroque history; from Kate Bush's idosyncratic style to a string quartet playing Arcade Fire's wildest track; from Black Francis' furious belting to Vivaldi's furioso; from a corny Bonnie Raitt ballad to gritty Skip James. Music is bigger than life. -Johannes Genard, singer of School iIs Cool -
A small selection of tunes for the road selected by Efdé. These tracks will want you to drive on and on and on. And they will make your drive from a dull and boring experience into something fun. Some of the tracks might even get you home a lot quicker. Enjoy!

"Here is some of the music I listened to a lot while writing and recording my third album "Bertolf". The songs have been inspirational on a lot of levels: songwriting, singing, form, arrangement and production. "
"Each song on this playlist is special for me. They made a giant impact on my life when I heard them for the first time. For instance: Voodoo Chile really made me pick up the guitar to start making music myself. I hope the list will grow a little bit bigger in my years to follow...but not to big...because these songs are like best friends: you don't have a lot off them."
'I'm on tour with my fellow musicians. Here's some songs I currently listen to on the road and in our dressing rooms."

Just a few of my favorite songs. I always use this playlist whilst walking from home to the station. The people seem a lot more friendly and happy when I’m hearing these tunes.
It's very simple, a compilation of music we enjoy at this moment and have enjoyed for years, you can play it in one go and it fits together as a set and at the same time it doesn't at all. A nice C12 compilation.
Over the past decades there's been a great diversity in music, which inspired me to this personal selection of songs from each period in time. I've called it 'decades in music' and I hope these songs will inspire you as much as they inspired me during my steps through life. Enjoy!
Last year, we've celebrated our 25th anniversary as a venue for upcoming, talented music. With this mixtape, we'll let you hear some of the music groups and acts that played the EKKO in those 25 years. Some are intimate, others are loud and there's some electronic music on it, as well. Please enjoy, and hopefully we're able to make a new one in 25 years from now!
Some songs and musicians that have influenced me over the last few years.
Here some favourites of 2011 which we discovered or rediscovered in our first year listening to our own radio station.
I've pretty much accomplished to make a mixed-tape full of my favourite songs. I've listened to the mix myself and I noticed I couldn't wait to hear what came next. Welcome to my world!
I made this podcast, to show that I have more to offer as a DJ then just a House or Techno set. I've always been a very diverse DJ and my preference of music has always been very eclectic. In this way I would like to show that to the public aswell. Hopefully you'll enjoy this slow BPM set!
I love loads of different styles of music so it wasnt easy to make a favourite list. I'm an electro dj and a live electro/punk/rock artist. But my favourite music to play at home for sure will be rock music. I love the lyrics, the heavy guitars, the raw and edgy sounds wich all together gets me in a great mood and gives me loads of inspiration. It broadens my horizon and keeps me rebellious for my time behind the turntables and on stage. So I decided to make this list a little bit more personal and about the music I listen to when I'm home dancing with my daughter.
These are the tracks that made me smile, feel groovy and feel good in the last couple of months.. Most of this music I heard, were when travelling in the tour bus with New Cool Collective, every band member using Spotify in turns .. Hail Technology!
These tunes are a mix of songs we both love. They bring back good memories. Gigs at festivals or clubs where the crowd lifts you up, party's abroad, but also us having fun and sing along while driving the car on to a next gig. Enjoy
“Take a seat, close your eyes and enjoy these pure and sometimes very painful songs. Music is love and love is music”
‘Hibernation’ is a selection of dark, gloomy winter songs that’ll truly make you feel the coldness of the winter season. We picked some of our favourite melancholic tunes and put them together for this mixtape.
Since you woke up immersed in that legendary feeling, everything behind you is shining and all is evening. A letter from the government informs you about a lost soundtrack of your life. You had no idea whatsoever, but that's fine.
Music to listen to the day after a night out; a playlist for the day light - beautiful arrangements, down tempo and partly bitter sweet songs.
A soundtrack for those nice evenings when your just chilling on your couch with a cup of tea under a nice warm blanket.
We've come together to select tracks that directly influenced our band sound. It didn't take us long to agree on this list, we're - luckily - on the same page. We'll take you back to sweet soul, super jazz and groovin' boogaloo. Enjoy!
The whole band got into it and created this great list of songs which they love. Songs that vary from Coldplay to Dutch rapper Extince and from Katy Perry to Keane. "88 keys, it's all you need",have fun listening!
Some songs have become so huge, we almost forget that they are actually a cover. Auxiliary Tha Masterfader made a big list of Originals who are less famous then the cover versions. This is a sample of that list. Listen to it and know who really made that hit song you love so so much.
After losing his shame, guitar player Valentijn Bannier (Steye, Zuco 103, Giovanca) started the hottest band of this moment. Listen to this tape and you'll get to know the love of your life
